I am the same!! When I was a kid I used to spend all of my pocket money on random things but now I REFUSE to buy anything (mainly bc I’m a cheapskate) but it’s so freeing to not spend tons of money if I don’t want to bc I don’t feel an internal pressure to!! It’s also meant that what I do buy I’m way more emotionally attached to so I’m gonna take care of it more!!

Helloo Aleks! I will definitely be applying these beautiful beautiful tips that you have shared <333. Opening this app I am plauged by my hyper-individuality and you are the one that grounds me, I am so awfully forgetful. Bless your soul. Another thing is that I find most of my money being spent on coffee, pastries, and food outside more than anything else. I do not want to induce any shame whatsoever for people who love to indulge in lovely treats as I am one of them, however removing the notion that "If I go downtown, I must buy something" is blissful and freeing! I bring a big flask with hot tea and dates and prunes and sit on a bench by the canal or the park and indulge there. I realise that also when I meet up with a friend or a cousin it is always a cafe or something of that sort, which is again, perfectly fine, but I I sometimes invite them for a picnic and bake a pie to bring! To be honest I still invest my money in coffee from my local cafes a lot, but again, knowing I can leave the house for a long period of time without having to buy something sometimes is super duper lovely.
