@carolinemcquistin: A road trip that has gone straight onto my list of favourite travel experiences! ad @The Guardian @Tourism Ireland I hopped on the ferry from Cairnryan with my car and spent a few days exploring the coastline from County Antrim through Derry~Londonderry and into County Donegal, combining the Causeway Coastal Route and the Wild Atlantic Way in one epic trip. There were cliff walks, sea views, unforgettable meals, trad music, unexpected finds and so many moments where I had to pull over just to take it all in. One of the best things about the trip was how easy it was. Having my own car meant I could easily hop over from Scotland, take my time, follow the scenic routes and stop whenever something caught my eye (which happened a lot 😅). Even the ferry across was all part of the experience. If you’re looking for a short break idea that feels like a proper adventure without travelling too far from GB, I couldn’t recommend it more. you where only a few miles from myself in Ballycastle next time come a bit further down an do, Ballintoy, Ballycastle, Torr Road Drive to Cushedun and down to Cushendall amazing views a great chippy and we can give you a guided tour round the Redbay Lifeboat station x
