@gmanews: SUPER TYPHOON BAVI APPROACHES THE PHILIPPINES Satellite imagery showed Super Typhoon Bavi rapidly intensifying from a tropical storm into a powerful super typhoon as it tracked westward across the western Pacific and into the Philippine Sea over the last week. As of 11: 00 PM, July 7, 2026, PAGASA has raised Signal No. 1 over the northeast portion of Cagayan, particularly the towns of Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Lal-Lo, Gattaran, and Santa Teresita, due to Super Typhoon Bavi, which has been given the local name #IndayPH even if it's still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
