They finesse the city they are in to FINANCE AND BUILD an arena or stadium.... of which if the city says no they threaten to relocate elsewhere in the country. They receive MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in free advertising and promotion thru television, radio, and the internet.... FREE. Try calling any station in the city and see if they will advertise YOUR BUSINESS for FREE... Goodluck with that happening. They sell team merchandise. People walk around wearing football jerseys, caps etc.... THE FUCKING OWNERS OF THESE TEAMS NEVER WEAR THIS OVER-PRICED CRAP... EXCEPT FOR THE CAMERAS DURING AN INTERVIEW AFTER THEY HAVE WON A CHAMPIONSHIP... AND EVEN THEN 99% OF THE TIME IT'S OVER A CUSTOM MADE SHIRT AND TIE. THEY WEAR $10,000.00 CUSTOM-TAILORED BUSINESS SUITS... NOT TACKY MERCH. Wake-up out of the sports fog people. It's just a distraction from more important issues.
