my wife and i got married a few weeks ago and for the kiss down the aisle, we practiced it both ways, filmed it, and determined what felt best as dipper/dipee. (also i was the dipper bc my dress was less restrictive so that can be a factor also)

You might be able to ask your officiant and/or photographer if they have any suggestions. For example, we had 0 idea what to do as far as a unity ceremony. Our officiant gave us the best idea- A ring warming!

do two dips and use one of the dips for the dance floor, guest LOVE a dance floor dip especially if it’s in the middle of the first dance, a friend did a mid first dance dip and the crowd was cheering it was so cute, highly suggest a first dance dip.

For the reception, if there isn’t a strong preference to use one person’s last name (ie: introducing the smiths), I recommend having the DJ or band say something like “for the first time as a married couple, NAME and NAME!” And at the ceremony you can have the officiant say “I now pronounce you married” or “I now pronounce you wives, you may seal your love with a kiss.”

My wife was too anxious to do a walk down the aisle so she got up there before and waited for me to come down because that made her 10x more comfortable 🥹 we both are masc so I get getting creative! Congrats!!!

My friend (who officiated) just announced us as happily married! It took away the weirdness from the ceremony. For the reception, he announced us as the gays 😂 (this is what all of our friends call us). As for the dips, do a dip at the start of the alter and do another in the middle (or at the end)! Each of you have your own moment! Congratulations, btw!!!🩵

you can do- for example my boyfriends last name is giovingo and i’m taking his last name, if yall will share the same last name, like mine could be “the giovingo’s!” instead of worrying about how mrs and mrs sounds!
