I’m the only girl with 3 brothers and while I’ve grown to love it now, it was hard! All I wanted was a sister, but now I have a bond with my mom that my brothers will never have or understand, and I’m always my dad’s princess! Having brothers is SO FUN. They’re absolutely feral and so unbelievably funny, I get to steal their old clothes and they don’t steal any of mine! (All they steal is the food I really wanted to eat 🤦🏻♀️). They also entertain each other, so if I don’t want to hang out with them, I can leave and they won’t bother me! They’ll always include me, if I want to be included, but they also give me space to be a girl in peace! Being the only girl, you’re also viewed as “a rose amongst the thorns” - so you’ll get some special treatment sometimes! They’re loud and they smell really bad but they’re also extremely funny, loving and kind! And eventually they get married and then you get sisters to bond with as adults, without the fighting that bio sisters go through as kids and teens! It’s hard being the only girl, especially when you’re young and all you want is someone to relate to, but it’s also SO FUN. You’re almost always automatically (subconsciously) the favourite too, just because you’re different! Especially if you’re the only granddaughter/niece too. I honestly could not imagine myself having a sister - we’d honestly probably fight so much we’d hate each other, but I’m so grateful my brothers chose such amazing women as their wives, so that I can call them my sisters! I cried lots of tears over the sisters I’d never have, but I’m honestly grateful for my brothers now! They would’ve made terrible girls.
