the name Swahili comes from lbn Batuta who came to East Africa 700 yrs plus ago he found a vibrant Muslim community in entire shore from zeila to Mozambique or musambiji they were shaffi Muslims and still are today they speak different dialects the biggest victims of the Berlin conference are the Swahili who divided into all countries of today's East Africa thus becoming minority under big tribe democracy it's amazing the language has a famous saying: mkosa kabila ni mtumwa meaning one with no tribe is a slave yet big tribers while using their language accuse them of having no tribe as they occupy their land using big tribe migration vote to dominate politics the church is the biggest aggressor to Swahili African civilization just as the missionaries wanted
