Agreed. People idolize Cap so much. Sure, he's nice and all... But some people act like he could do no wrong. On the flip side, they act like Tony is irredeemable because he had real probs he actually had to work through. They forget that Tony is the most realistic hero. His issues and motives are the most like how someone would react in the real world if they had to deal with all the awfulness he experienced... Hating on Tony annoys me bc it's like saying "How dare you be a hero without being perfect? How dare you be broken and still dare to try?" Well...sorry, but if everyone who wanted to do something good, had to be perfect and never make mistakes first... Nobody would ever become a hero.

Tony gets villanized way too easily, while Steve (Cap) can do no wrong according to some fans. Steve hid what he knew about Tonys parents, lied about it, and expected Tony to be reasonable immediately after finding out the truth.

I’m honestly really bummed with a fair amount of caps representation in the mcu. Sometimes he just feels oddly selfish and it really bothers me because if cap is anything (at least in comic media) it certainly isn’t selfish.

As a team Cap member I'd like to say that yes he was 100% in the wrong for not telling Tony but he literally explained why he did it, it was selfish but you can tell he had good intentions. Tony was also in the right for reacting the way he did but so was Steve for protecting Bucky. Bucky knew what he did but had no control over what he was doing and a lot of people overlook that. As for Steve leaving bucky...well yes I hate him for it but I try not to hate him for not going to save bucky knowing that he's suffering. Messing with that timeline is just a big no and a lot of people also don't understand that. A lot of people also assume that I hate Tony because I'm team Cap but they're just so wrong. Tony's situation might not be entirely relatable since he's a billionaire nepo baby (no shade) but his emotions are something that is so realistic. Picking himself up and doing stuff with good intentions is what I see in Steve AND Tony. So I can't really hate either, I love them both sm☹️

In comics and movies, Tony wasn’t right. Winter soldier is a massive reason why he wasn’t right and all throughout the comics he wasn’t right

even tony thought he was wrong about accords and literally broke them in the same movie. steve was wrong for not telling him about his parents. but he was not wrong for defending bukcy as tony was trying to murder him and would have done it in the heat of the moment. also the whole timeline makes no sense. like steve goes back in time to be with peggy therefore he should be in a different timeline based off the movie but somehow he is old in endgame? and that means he just sat around while Bucky was tortured? bro let 9/11 happen. in my opinion its just bad writing as it makes no sense with his character. tony also suffered from bad writing. i mean how many movies does he just learn the same arc of being selfless, like i think he gets it by now.
also by far the fandom loves tony stark more than steve rogers and the movies or at least the russo brothers like him more than steve
