That wouldn’t work. When I was 15, I asked my mom how she and my dad met. She never answered me. I asked her again a few days later because I genuinely wanted to know how their relationship was. She then gave me a very vague answer “saskhula kunye” okay, AND? When I asked for the third time, she just told me that I shouldn’t be asking those questions in front of me [ex] step-sister because she’d feel left out as her mom passed away, so she wouldn’t even be able to ask over the phone.
