These are all great tools. To forfill these with ease is to abide in Christ. You will never overcome the world flesh and the devil n your own effort and strenght. The first step is to realise that you are unable to save yourself. For where we are weak God is strong. For Christ is able to keep us from falling and will present us unstained at that glorious day. For without Christ we can do nothing. For he works every good work within us. Only what we allow Christ to do through us will last. His will becomes our will. His sorrow becomes our sorrow. His anguish becomes our anguish. His love our love. His Word lives through us. Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. The source and strenght to overcome is found only in Jesus. For greater is He than He who is in the world. For Jesus enables us to do all things. We are to lean on Jesus. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. When you wander away from abiding in Christ you will be tempted to sin. When abiding in Christ the old things fade away. Christ becomes all in all. The devil can not defeat you when you abide in Christ. Because he is then not fighting you, but fighting Jesus and he has already lost that battle. If we fall because we failed to abide we are to repent quickly and draw close to God. The devil will attack us by saying look what you have done you not worthy to be a follower of Jesus.(Its a half truth.)yes we admit we are not worthy, but through Christ we are made worthy. We are to cling to Jesus no matter what. 2 Samuel 22:33-35 God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. 34 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places. 35 He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
