There are resources, but they are mostly privately financed. It’s important to donate to your local homeless centers. If you sponsor a mailbox then the homeless vet can still get their disability check. It’s important to give back in your community.

I’m glad this came across my feed. It’s opened my mind to the homeless and addiction. I’m interested to find out what he thinks the solution is for homelessness. What actually would help people I live in Oakland and see how it’s so much an epidemic.

As someone 8.5 years in recovery from iv h use, and recently worked inner city EMS, I will ALWAYS advocate for needle exchanges. I did a whole paper on it last year for a college English class
