Unfortunately though some white girls at Afronation are ruining it and proving the point by posting their reasons for going is for ‘BBC’ 🙃 i didn’t go to Afronation but if i see a video of white girls getting cussed out i dont need to take it personal because i know it doesnt apply to me. And the yt women wearing braids is a whole other conversation, the fact black women have been shunned for wearing their hair in protective styles but white women can wear it because its ‘trendy’.. there’s so much nuance to these conversations

I’ll always give black women their flowers, nearly everything I’ve learnt about caring for my hair and skin I have learnt from black women or other minorities from across the world. I give all women a smile and nod in public so they know I’ve got their back, knowing there is safe ppl around u even if it’s unspoken is so vital for all of us
