@bioncasmith3: I got a call from the vet this morning and my heart was beating so hard. Every word she said felt like slow motion as I braced myself for either the worst or the best news we’d here regarding our rescue puppy we found in the storm drain right outside our sanctuary last month. 😔 He was diagnosed with Parvo last Thursday and had to stay overnight for 4 nights and today he’s coming back to the sanctuary! 😭😭😭😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 To every person and every dollar donated to our rescue…THANK YOU! 😭 His vet bill was thousands and worth every penny. He’s only 2 months old and has so much life ahead of him. Savjng lives one animal at a time is what we do every single day and hearts are still beating and animals are no longer starving because of you! Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for allowing me to do this work and not question what’s possible even when the odds seem low. It’s stressful when money is a determining factor wether an animal lives or dies in 3 days. That’s all he had because Parvo is fatal if people don’t act fast. This was our first Parvo case and the most expensive vet bill we’ve ever seen for one animal. With the help of all of internet angles we were able to have confidence and move forward with his treatment without hesitation and pay for it all. 😭🙏🏽Thank you all so much for acting so fast for him and every rescue we take it. We’re in route to the sanctuary to build a quarantine space for him. He will be indoors for two weeks and given probiotics for 30 days. As a reminder…Our sanctuary is off grid so we post whenever we drive into town or content may just take time to post. Watch our IG stories for more updates and please share this video. It’s going to take a village to save more animals that don’t deserve to die because someone else couldn’t care for them. We are combating a start animal crisis in Texas and by sharing this, you can bring awareness to it.
