@jeeves_ny: At the end of last year I posted my worst laundry detergent list, Nellie's was on it and they took it personally.... @nelliesclean Their owner asked to meet me while visiting NYC and pled his case with some rare self awareness. He let me know that Nellie's main detergent product purposefully uses a basic formula to focus on gentleness, skin sensitivity, and they are firm believers that most of their customers clothes aren't very dirty! But, he left me a bucket of their turbo charged laundry product designed for deeper cleaning: 'Pow Powder'. Sooooo I tested it, and it performed well, scoring a 55.9, a massive leap up from 18.8. So, what makes it different? POW Powder combines Nellie's classic laundry soda (detergent) and oxygen brightener (booster and oxygen bleach) formulas with an added enzyme (subtilisin) for even more cleaning power. It's always a refreshing surprise when brands want to improve their product based on customer feedback and objective reviews. I hear they're working on some new innovations as well... more to come soon! #Laundry #DetergentReview #NelliesClean

Nellies was a game changer for me having a child with eczema. Yes I had to soak some stains but my child skin health was worth it!

Obsessed with your rankings. As a child I watched top gear and watched them rank the faster cars in the world. Becoming an adult, nothing changes, except, now it’s laundry detergent 😂

I use Nellie’s for the exact reasons that you mentioned in your caption. It’s so gentle, has virtually no scent, and it’s also incredibly cost effective. I work in an office, and most of my hobbies involve being indoors and not sweating if I can at all help it. But in the same vein, I have an oxygen booster for my “dirty” clothes (hiking, camping, dog stuff) that need more oomph to get clean. I’m happy to hear that the folks at Nellies are decent people who can take constructive criticism ♥️

BC of your positive review of tide evo I picked up a box on sale with coupon a few weeks ago and added it to my stockpile of tide pods. This weekend I took all of our bedding and sleeping bags to the laundry mat. I took the box of evo tiles they were so light and I was throughly impressed they worked just aswell as pods even on our sleeping bags which were well overdue for a wash.

So what would be the purpose of having a less powerful detergent? What scenarios would somebody want that over a high cleaning power detergent?

I love this! I’m vegan and autistic, and have been searching for an effective detergent, that’s good for sensitive skin, and doesn’t use animal testing. I just started using Nellie’s laundry soda, so I’m excited to try this! I was looking on their website and they have a ‘Paw Powder’ for deep cleaning “pet” stains. I’m wondering if that could be an even better detergent, that’s just marketed as a “pet” detergent. Would you ever run a test on their Paw Powder?

if your clothes aren't too dirty, isn't it easier to just use less of a good detergent instead of normal amount of weak detergent?

With tide rescue discontinued can you recommend a good enzymatic pretreatment that is widely available and affordable?

After getting into laundry, I don’t go cheap anymore. It’s either Tide or Ariel. The cheaper stuff doesn’t clean well and the all natural stuff barely cleans
