@caspiro.film: The Cabin Was Rotting. Under the Floorboards, I Built a Root Cellar. Deep in the forest I found an old log cabin the woods had almost swallowed — walls leaning, roof caved in and green with moss, windows long gone. Too stubborn to let it fall, I brought it back. I cleared the growth, tore off the rotten roof, cut out the dead logs and re-chinked the walls, framed a fresh timber roof and shingled it, hung new windows and a door, and built a little porch. Inside, I kept it as one big square room — but before I laid the floor I cut a hatch and dug a cellar underneath, with a wooden staircase down to stone walls lined with wine racks, jars and firewood. Upstairs went a warm wood-lined studio with a stove, a kitchen and a bed; downstairs, a cool little root cellar under a trap door. Off-grid on one solar panel. The forest nearly took it back — instead it's the cosiest cabin in the woods, with a secret under the floor. Full restoration, start to finish. #satisfyingvideos #Home #fyp #timelapse #DIY
