it’s cause they don’t have enough emotional intelligence and think us bringing up the behavior is an attack on them, which they will retaliate their perceived offense back. doesn’t make it right, but helps to know it’s not because of something you are doing wrong. if they are willing to confront that issue they have and fix it, that’s up to them
