My daughter was in yearbook at a small school. 662 students total. It was as almost impossible to get candid quotes from students and teachers. They sent out forms and asked months in advance but still had to chase them down last minute. It’s not as easy as you would think.

they put me with the 11th grade class in my senior yearbook.... so I became an art teacher and now I run yearbook! I set a goal every year to represent each student the yearbook and do my darndest to make sure everyone is in their proper spot and their name is spelled correctly 🥰

I just think that sometimes if you ask a teenager anything, most likely you get an I don’t know answer. I’ve just been around them enough that it’s hard to pull an honest answer.

HS Teacher here. My classroom was interrupted MANY times through the years by journalism students to pull a kid out for a quote and/or photo. As long as it wasn’t during instruction, I never minded. So she definitely could have.

This is the craziest system I’ve ever heard for a yearbook. I was in mine at least 10 times every year because I was in so many activities. But our yearbook advisor was amazing.

my school quoted me twice about stuff I crocheted myself for school spirit days and it's truly not hard 🤣 they send yearbook kids into classrooms with little notes for the teachers with what student they needed and we literally just talked outside of the classroom lol
