Yes I totally feel that way. On maternity leave, going into the no money phase, car had its MOT just as I went off for maternity leave, needed work so paid out, washing machine broke so had to replace it, car tyre needed changing to be told we needed 4 new tyres as nearly illegal, oil leak that needed fixing, over £1000 to fix the problem, my laptop has now given up the ghost and my Mum had to put down our family dog a few days ago 😩 so yeah I feel it

I’ve been where you are due to circumstances we couldn’t control and I can honestly say you can come out the other side. Yes it took a while but we did it. My girls are now in their 20’s and say they never actually realised how bad things got sometimes because we screened them from a lot of it but also that they learned so much especially how my husband and I worked together and grew stronger 🥰

id speak to your finance company explain whats happened see if you can get out of it or if you can get another car under policy moneysavingexpert.com might have some advice ive never had a car on finance so not 100% sure how it works. if you have a mortgage ask to go interest only or have a mortgage break for 6 months. 6 months on a 25yr term won't make much difference. use that money to buy a cheap.run around. see if you can get some money your owed. any ppi, refunds, money sitting as credit in energy accounts. sell what you can. can you borrow a car for the time being.

Silent long term follower here. Look, this is shite, yes. But you have got out of this before - you can get out of this again. Just as the universe throws crap at us, it will also throw a lifeline. Stick it on a card, get a 0% interest one and don’t worry about it for now and just use it as a tool whilst you find other employment. X
