@creativeflairhq: One painting can pay you for years, and most artists never set this up. It's prints, and done right, it's some of the easiest money you'll make. Here's how: Pick your prints carefully. Your strongest pieces, and the ones people react to most online. Let your audience tell you what to print. Use a print on demand service. They print and post each order for you, so you hold no stock and spend nothing upfront. Upload once, and it runs. Choose your edition. Open editions are cheap, unlimited, great for reach. Limited editions, say 50, signed and numbered, are collectible and cost a lot more, because once they're gone, they're gone. Price them as a doorway. A print lets someone who can't afford your £500 original own a piece of you for £40. You're not cheapening your work, you're letting more people in. And here's the real magic: every follower who loves your work but can't afford an original is a customer you already have and aren't serving. Prints turn your audience into collectors. Your originals were never meant to be your only income. Set this up once, and your best work keeps paying you long after it's sold. Send this to an artist who only sells originals. #SellYourArt #EmergingArtist #ArtPrints #ArtBusiness #CreativeFlair

I think you’re talking about posters. Prints should be limited, numbered, and signed.

You say “heres how” and then you just describe a theory. ‘How’ comes in the platform, the marketplace. Which is incredibly inaccessible. People aren’t struggling with ideas they’re struggling with the marketplace. You could have the best print in the world and put it on Etsy and get absolutely nowhere. So the better advice would be how you get traction once you’ve identified a print. But secondly you should never ever ever advise anyone to do drop shipping of their own print work because it’s the worst possible quality and not designed for fine art prints.

my rule of art business is originals are thousands, numbered canvas prints are hundreds, and numbered paper prints are tens. something within the reach of anyone.

But how do you sign and number the limited editions if the print never goes through your hands, it goe straight from the print company to the customer?

Love your content, quick question from an artist. What’s your thoughts on open edition prints but without a signature? If you the. Have to sign prints (using a print on demand service) you then bottle the business again?
