in Australia the Police must serve all protection orders and they need to notify you once its served

In the state of Ohio, the sheriff serves the orders. I’ve had to file a protection order on my ex and the sheriff served it to him.

Lots of places you can also ask the sheriff’s department to serve it for you. I think there’s still a fee, but it may be safer for everyone involved.

In australia the police serve it automatically after the judge signs the order. When they do you get a call and email from the police confirming the delivery. If they are out of the country they will serve it at the airport on their return or if in another state the police in that state will do it.

you give it to a sibling or a parent or your attourney, and they serve it. alternatively, Certified mail also counts as the recipient has to sign for it.
