They may apologize. But the actions AFTER the apology is where the TRUE apology is. If they apologize but CONTINUE the behavior, tone, attitude, etc. Then the apology was to clear their slate, not because they really feel bad at all.

This is correct. I kept my mouth shut for so long. Then after my father’s passing, I just couldn’t do it anymore. So I cussed my mother out and I haven’t seen or talk to her and going on seven years.
