I mean, they can absolutely allow it!!! here's my MIL a couple years before she passed - they let her in because she was legally blind and only had peripheral vision. I'm sorry that they didn't 😔

the guards are amazing there! when me and my mom went, i was pushing her wheelchair through the long line & a lovely lady guided us out of the line and up to the area in the video. she had no idea how much that meant to my mom especially since she was an art teacher for 25+ years, my mom was in tears 😭

guys when you go to see the mona lisa there is a line staffed by security guards that people who are disabled can wait in to go in front of the main ropes blocking everyone off, typically this line is reserved for people in wheelchairs, people with oxygen tanks, and older people who aren’t able to squeeze in to stay behind the ropes, this is something the museum does to make the mona lisa accesible for everyone so stop being horrible human beings and bashing this creator who lost their mother may she rest in peace
