I agree with this but that advice is part of why I left my ex husband. I'd already lost my mom before we met and I knew he wouldn't be a good comfort when I experienced other losses, he would've probably just made everything harder. It's not THE most important thing but it's definitely important for your spouse to be someone who can comfort you and make hard times easier.
