Janet Campana :
Haiti has had Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in the United States since January 2010. Based on 2023 data, approximately 65% of households headed by Haitian immigrants use at least one major welfare program. Ask why 65% of Haitians ARE ON WELFARE TODAY AND TPS WAS EXTENDED TO THEM IN 2010??? This is a travesty. They are NOT gainfully employed if 65% get welfare benefits. There’s nothing more permanent than a temporary government program ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! There is a pathway to become a naturalized citizen for those who choose. If they haven't bothered to secure their legal residency in 20 years, that's on them... Time for them to return home. Temporary Protected Status (TPS) does not provide a direct or automatic path to permanent residency or U.S. citizenship. However, TPS holders can pursue citizenship by successfully acquiring lawful permanent resident (LPR) status—a green card—through independent immigration avenues and subsequently completing the naturalization process. [1, 2] 1. Achieving Permanent Residency (The Green Card) Because TPS is temporary, beneficiaries must find another legal pathway to secure a green card. Common pathways include: [1, 2] Family Sponsorship: Being sponsored by an immediate U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident relative (e.g., spouse or parent). Employment Sponsorship: Having a U.S. employer sponsor you for a specific job category. Asylum: Applying for asylum if you fear persecution in your home country. [1]

America can’t fix every country’s problem. I understand it’s bad but America can’t fix other people’s problem. That’s a problem for the Haitians. You guys should go to Haiti and demonstrate for those people and let the government make their lives better.

I was born and raised in Florida. Haitians have been here all my life, and I’ve never had a problem with one of them. They are good people work hard and will help you with anything. That’s my opinion and I believe it.💯
