Ca smog tech here, not sure where your getting your information from but it’s false as hell. VSSI is only for salvage vehicles wanting to get back on the road. Smog checks aren’t going anywhere either. I do wish we did some sort of safety inspection with a smog test cause 90% of cars would fail.
