Add in the egg, and vanilla extract. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hr. Beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, milk, and cocoa powder, mixing until combined. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll into balls. Bake at 350 for 10-12min.
