I’m so glad you had this victory! I also sobbed in the doctor’s office today, and unfortunately left feeling like asking for help is pointless. Again, I felt like I got the brush off, and was told to talk to my psychiatrist - who coincidentally didn’t show up for the appointment I’d scheduled with her a few weeks ago - which was why I was in that office today 🫠

I can relate. I had a colonoscopy at 21 because I lost an extreme amount of weight after giving birth and was told it was just IBS from the stresses of motherhood. At 45, I had another colonoscopy and it turns out I have a form of colitis. I was also diagnosed in my 30’s with depression, anxiety, and BP2 and put on many different medications that never worked. Again at 45, I was diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Ritalin which changed my life. I was taken off all the other stuff that I actually never needed to begin with. It’s been a long, exhausting journey.

Oh Gia, I can’t explain how deeply this resonates with me. I’m 43 and have lived with various degrees of pain and odd ailments my entire life. I’ve been poked and prodded, seen countless specialist, told I’m just anxious. It led to medical cptsd where I’d go without the help I need far too long. Finally found an immunologist and rheumatologist who diagnosed me with something also incurable, likely very similar to yours. And while it feels miraculous to be listened to and believed and helped, I also feel a grief for the years I was screaming begging for someone to hear me in the medical field and I was just labeled an emotional, sensitive woman. I hear you. I see you. It’s a heavy weight to carry. And you do so much for the collective, I know it’s not easy. Just know there are others out there who needed to hear these words, who are fighting the good fight alongside you. Thank you for being the light. ✨🌸

Yes this: another helper with EDS, menopause and late teen kids - everything hurts and everything is soooo hard and it is difficult to ask for help. I feel this to the bones!! 💞Love to you sister!💞

Oh how I feel you 100% ok every single thing you are saying!!! I am currently experiencing the exact same thing. It’s barbaric and all you can do sometimes is screaming into the void. I see you, I love you and I am sending hope and authentic healing your way! This brings me hope for myself. ♥️
