I freeze dry my mushrooms and powder them. I do it so I can taste the mushrooms but I don’t have to bite them. The texture of mushrooms I don’t like but when it’s powdered I get the flavor. ❤️❤️

in case you don't want to dehydrate fresh mushrooms yourself, Asian supermarkets have dehydrated shiitake mushrooms very reasonably priced. while I buy the huge 5lb bag that's the size of a jumbo pillow ($60-80) that lasts me several years, they have ½lb bags that are still a lot of dried mushrooms for about 15 bucks.

For love of God, can someone tell me why we’re using a mason jar instead of a bowl? I really am not trying to be mean I just don’t understand this new trend. If you’re gonna pour the hot water in there or if you’re gonna like put water in there and then put it in a pot of water that’s hot and cook it in the jar, but why are we using some mason jars as a bowl?
