i love the point that you brought up, however let’s keep in mind the colonization of countries during this time. we know that things can be manipulated to justify a certain agenda, and we know that it has been known that during the times of slavery (js since this was the example used in your video), the colonizers manipulated the bible to pursue the malicious intent of enslaving people and justifying it. during this time of church and state, they purposely manipulated the bible to fit into their interests and personal beliefs. i’ve taken a few world religion classes (learning and dissecting all religions) and i love topics about this when they are constructive and respectful. but nothing beats history, facts, and personal experiences. i just wish people were more open minded and respectful in these conversations. there is no true matter of right or wrong, but a matter of fact, opinion, and experiences that make that opinion. as a believer in Christ, i do not call myself a christian due to the fact that religion is organized by people and tends to get away from what the essence of the belief is. to know God is to know there are plenty of flaws in christianity bc it is something made by man, but there no flaws in God. but again, i love the points you made and this is something that should be talked about more🩷

You think it’s Christianity but really it was their own religion. Everything that they did and said was totally different from what Jesus calls us to do. To be Christian is to be Christ like and that is not what they were. You can’t paint everything with 1 brush that’s like saying every woman is the exact same as another because they identify as a women. Many say they are Christian but really they aren’t. Even the Bible says that many will come to the Lord saying they did things in his name and he will say that should depart from him because he never knew them
