Well explained but missed a 3rd option at the end. Since you are not taking any money out for 30 yrs, use the growth method. Then switch to dividend method (trade shares). Now you’ll collect almost $13k/mo and can still sell off if you want more. But now you can get away with selling much less. This way you may be able to not have to sell during down markets.

At the 25 year mark you start shifting into something like SCHD for capital preservation and dividends. SCHD still has an average annual return high enough to be impactful at that point and a healthy divvy growth rate. That’s how I’d play it personally.
