So me freaking out that my cockatiels aren’t interested in eating a lot of fruits and veg is for nothing.. i always offer them fruits and veg and ofc pellets with their seed mix

I give my cockatiel seed everyday but I sprinkle it into foraging trays with a high quality pellet mix. The seed is minimal. I also use nutiberries everyday as well in his foraging trays. Is this okay? He does get vegetables everyday too.

Can you share what do to feed your cockatiel in a week? Obviously including that seed bag, what others feeding options you offer, do you take out the seeds at night to feed them in the morning. Just looking for options… I feed my birds palette but I’m thinking I can offer that seed X2 week as well.

I actually mix my pellets with various other things and this seed is one of them. I noticed my birds' poop has improved when I started adding back in appropriate seeds and nuts. I have a general mix that I dip into for all of my larger birds, and then a different mix for the smaller ones and do different add-ins depending on whose bowl it is

mine are rescue cockatiels who were on daily low quality seed mix. like the 10$ stuff from Walmart. I've managed to transition to a high quality seed mix with powdered mash pellets coating the seeds. Occasionally egg food mixed in. they will eat your random odd dandelion leaf or snack fruit.
