it is honestly surprising what we as people can get used to living in. my bathroom hasn't been this bad but my house HAS been in shocking condition that, looking back, I'm shocked that I was just used to it. mainly when I was post partum, had PPD and PPA on top of my regular chronic depression and anxiety and other things, and my partner also has depression. you just... don't get to it when it happens bc you're busy, then it becomes a bigger job that needs more time that you don't have right when you see it so you phase it out, and then before you know it you look around and its overwhelming. again, my house hasn't been quite that dirty, but it has been extremely cluttered and messy, and looking back at old photos I'd take when I would manage to clean when my kid/s were down for a nap, I'm like.... wow how the hell did I live in that? and it's SO different now. a clean like this from anyone, if I could have afforded it, would have been honestly kinda life changing to have that reset. I love seeing these videos and knowing that people get the help they need that truly makes a difference 💖
