@coreyoffshift: ER nurse here. This video is my opinion about HCA based on public reporting, union investigations, and HCA’s own financials, plus what it feels like on the floor. I’m not telling anyone where to go for care; I’m talking about how corporate decisions impact staff and patients in real life. Receipts are in the pinned comment if you want to go down the rabbit hole. #healthcare #nurse #fyp #emergency #nurselife
HCA - Where "above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life (of the CEOs, not the patients)."

I worked for HCA for one year- I signed that contract for the sign on bonus unfortunately. It was the absolute worst year of my nursing career. I absolutely HATED going to work everyday. HCA is absolutely horrible to work for. You can google HCA employee reviews and there is thousands of bad ones.

I work as a PCT at a HCA hospital in Myrtle Beach. They are building a lot of free standing er hospitals and another Trauma hospital. I wish they would use that money to pay their workers better and to hire more staff.

It needs to be law that you pay for however many nurses you’re supposed to have, period. If you have 3 and you should have 5, the pay for the missing 2 needs to be split among the 3 that are there.

Receipts for this video:
– Local reporting on Mission Hospital after HCA took over, including repeated ‘Immediate Jeopardy’ findings and staffing/safety issues cited by federal regulators.
– Investigations and union reports describing a ‘patient care crisis’ in HCA hospitals due to chronic understaffing and downgraded services.
– HCA’s own financial statements and independent analyses showing strong operating margins and profits during the same period.
This video is my opinion as an ER nurse reacting to that public information and my experience on the floor.

Please include ALL the allied health workers in your drowning statements. All of diagnoses radiology/ultrasound/CT/MRI/IR. WE see ALLL the patients and have the ridiculous “productivity “ thresholds to meet while being understaffed and over booked. We make up the the other 50%of healthcare workers and are ALWAYS overlooked
