155’ers are going to show illia difference in power. At 145 hes the monster. At 55 hes tiny. Im telling you arman could get him outta there. If islam wanted to at 55 hes could too. Honestly if dustin was still competing yearly too much dog in 55’ers.

He got outboxed and had a way stronger endurance than ilia expected. He threw a jab, got countered with a jab and an overhand right. Ilia walked away with a split open head and Justin didn’t look like he even got touched. I look at it as ilia got humbled for not gameplanning around who gaethje is. He’s got a vanity black belt in BJJ and missed 2 wide open submissions on Justin. He looked like a deer in headlights after his barrage of body shots didn’t even knock Justin down

gaethje has crazy power but not as much as people give him credit for. i think main thing for why he does so much damage is his precision and consistency. he is unpredictable and goofy so its hard to predict him. ilia got hit by gaethje a lot in the same area over and over again and thats why he got damaged so bad. if you look closely ilia only had damage to his eyes and upper side of his nose. gaethje's been hitting him in same straight line over and over again.
