@basicsundaycooking: Mixed beans rice recipe ⬇️ 2 cups short grain white rice 1 cup of any mixed dry beans (I buy mine at an Asian grocery store, but you can make your own blend) 1. Lightly rinse and drain the beans. Place them in an airtight container, cover with cold water, and refrigerate overnight. 2. The next day, rinse and drain the rice a few times (I usually rinse 5-6 times). 3. Add the rice to the rice cooker pot with the amount of water recommended on the rice package. 4. Drain and lightly rinse the soaked beans, then spread them evenly over the rice. Don’t mix them in. 5. Cook using the High Pressure Mixed Grain setting (Instructions below for standard rice cooker) 6. When the rice is done, gently skim the beans off the top and serve them with the rice. Mixing the beans into the rice in the cooker can cause them to break apart and become mushy. Standard Rice Cooker: 1. Drain the soaked beans and add them to the rice with the recommended amount of water. 2. Cook using the regular rice setting. 3. When the rice is done, check the beans. If they’re still a little firm, let the rice sit on the “Keep Warm” setting for 15-30 minutes, or run another cook cycle if needed. #koreanfood #rice #beans #stickyrice #riceandbeans
