This dua was taught by the Prophet ﷺ to Mu'adh رضي الله عنه. He said: even if your debt equals Mount Uhud — Allah will clear it. Arabic: اللَهُمَمَالِكَالْمُلْكِ، تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَمَنْتَشَاءُ، وَتَنْزِعُالْمُلْكَمِمَنْتَشَاءُ، وَتُعِزُمَنْتَشَاءُ، وَتُذِلُمَنْتَشَاءُ، بِيَدِكَالْخَيْرُ، إِنَكَعَلَىٰ كُلِّشَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، رَحْمَانَالدُنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَرَحِيمَهُمَا، تُعْطِيهِمَا مَنْتَشَاءُ، وَتَمْنَعُمِنْهُمَا مَنْتَشَاءُ، ارْحَمْنِي رَحْمَةً تُغْنِينِي بِهَا عَنْرَحْمَةِ مَنْسِوَاكَTransliteration: Allāhumma Mālikal-mulk, tuʾtil-mulka man tashāʾ, wa tanziʿul-mulka mimman tashāʾ, wa tuʿizzu man tashāʾ, wa tudhillu man tashāʾ, biyadikal-khayr, innaka ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr. Raḥmānad-dunyā wal-ākhirati wa raḥīmahumā, tuʿṭīhimā man tashāʾ, wa tamnaʿu minhumā man tashāʾ, irḥamnī raḥmatan tughninī bihā ʿan raḥmati man siwāk. Translation: O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty — You give sovereignty to whom You will and take it from whom You will. You honor whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good. You are over all things capable. Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter — grant them to whom You will and withhold from whom You will.
