That is the most heartbreaking thing that you have posted and I’m pissed that ANYONE does not see the beauty of your willing choosing to open your heart, your home, your lives to raising a child that otherwise wouldn’t have known what it means to chosen to be loved. It is NOT selfish of you choosing not to bring your own offspring into this world especially when you want to give a kid or kids that need someone just like you. Hey, I’m a marine out in Hawaii and I’m adopted. Me and all my siblings were adopted from completely different families. People would look at my parents and make snide comments because my parents are white, my little sister is black, and I’m biracial. You are completely right, children deserve to know that they are loved, and wanted. It doesn’t matter what their parents look like, how many they have, or what gender they are. If that child is safe, and loved, that is all that matters.
