i remember reading a fic where the scene dividers(?) was this interesting symbol that i thought was just for the purpose of transitioning to the next scene until at the end it turned out to be an important symbol in the plot and i was so shocked

there was this one fic when character A was going with their team on a mession but they were anxious so character B the team leader tries to comfort character B using physical touch and character A first thought that character B not a fan of physical touch but brushed it off as character getting over his comfort for character A's comfort.. at the end it turns out that that was NEVER character B (it was a clone) and suddenly it clicked in my head! it literally gave me chills! 😭

theres a huge "plot hole" at the beginning of my fic -not posted yet. i think most readers will just excuse it as me ignoring canon BUT its a huge clue for a plotwist that doesn't appear until almost a year later
