This is what liver disease does to a body- unfortunately a natural progression of your liver cirrhosis. Ascites will cause swelling in your abdomen and legs/ankles. The fluid has to go somewhere.

One of my best friends from college died of cirrhosis. She was a picture of health, very disciplined. She drank…often, more than I even realized. Please take care of yourself. Her light is missed here on earth

that nurse handled that extremely well. I see patients that are having a hard time dealing with the reality of the situation all too often, and not too take away from your pain you're going through in this moment because she recognized it and didn't take it personally. THAT is a NURSE. she helped you in your darkest time and was with you whether you wanted her or not or whether you believed in her or not. thank goodness you're okay today, I hope you go back and thank that nurse because we really don't get it very often, and when we do we remember it for the rest of our lives❤️❤️❤️
