Punks complaint was always about part timers getting these opportunities while he had stay around and do tours and worthless feuds. Also did we not see his last title run? He was constantly defending the title. He’s one of the only “big” names that will wrestle on a weekly basis.

CM Punk of 2014 also said he wanted to be one of “those guys”. He wanted to be the guy that could show up, have a big money match and leave. His problem was he did not feel like he was being treated fairly as a top guy in the company and that his own stock was going down to the casual fan from taking pins to guys like Lesnar and Taker who would beat him and then leave.

@Nic: What happened with the rock is not the same thing! Punk was champion for over a year and he still wasn’t getting the main event. Rock come backs for the title to just have a main event match with John cena after have been out of wrestling for a while to make movies.. Punk left for 3 months after losing a title that he had a FULL TIME run with. He defended it on house shows, raw, ple’s. It’s not the same thing. Plus with what he said the night after wrestlemaina this was always the plan. Let the man do his job🙄
