Girl when I announced I was not gonna drink anymore, most of the people I was closest to were actually surprised, saying I didn't even drink that much in their opinion. Meanwhile, I could not remember the last time I'd gone over a week without drinking. I used it to self medicate my then-undiagnosed adhd and general anxiety disorder, but nobody knew since i did it all by myself at night. Alcoholism does not have a unique look indeed.

This was me after my daughter died. I was 25. I was silly, goofy, impulsive, bubbly, having a blast.. drunk. Until it got ugly and I was drinking and not eating. Until I was 100lb soaking wet and still drinking, heartbroken, couldn’t function. I’m 29 now and remember nothing for about two years. I regret nothing more than this period of my life.
