I lived in Bangalore for 8 years between 2002 -2010, and I loved it. I visit Bangalore once a year now

My view :

At one time, bangalore had 55 lakes. The water table was high and Churchill likened it to blighty. You can still find Churchill’s old home in Whitfield and a ledger in bangalore club to which he owes an overdue amount. Along 7th cross in koramangala, the residents joined hands and filled up one of the lakes for elders to walk around. Each neighbourhood in bangalore has parks where elders walk and children exercise - a feature akin only to old bangalore urban planning. If you walk near the koramangala post office, the houses are really posh and the area very very peaceful. That is the old bangalore.
