I use shade cloth and certain varieties that are bred to produce even in 100 degree heat. I think they slow down some but still produce. Cherry tomatoes don’t care how hot it is they will produce in extreme heat and humidity where I live.

When night time temperatures get above 65-70 degrees they don’t do too well. Even with watering. But they’ll come back in the fall if you keep them watered.

I never have that happen even with temps at 100°. I water every day which cools the root systems & mulch heavily!
