Fifield alleged Platner physically abused her over a decade ago. This interview comes a day after Tapper interviewed a woman who accused Platner of rape, which he denies. CNN reached out to the Platner campaign following the interview with Lyndsey Fifield. The campaign has denied Platner was violent towards women. In response to questions from CNN about Fifield's allegations, the campaign said, “This claim is categorically false and comes from a person with a well-documented political agenda.”

If I was Platner I would drop out of the race and if he was truly innocent I would sue them for defamation. Where the burden of proof would lie upon the accuser. And not for a small amount but for a large amount.
