i WOULD NOT stop singing during and after my wisdom teeth removal. my mom was apparently talking to the doctor outside the recovery room and they both kept giggling cause i was just hootin and hollerin. not a lyric in sight.

Does it make you feel better to know that when I had my hip surgery, it was on Halloween and I asked if I could have Halloween candy. They said there wasn’t any so I started crying. Then one of the older nurses realized she had a Payday in her purse she bought early and I responded with, “who tf thinks Payday is a Halloween candy?!” 🤦🏻♀️I literally came back and apologized a few days later.

I would not stop sobbing and was like “I can’t see” and the nurse was like “you need to open your eyes” and I said “NO DAMMIT I CANT SEE DONT YOU UNDERSTAND” turns out I actually did just need to open my eyes lmao

As someone who works in the OR, we absolutely LOVE unhinged patients! We do really unnatural jobs, so patients bringing some humor really helps!

my dad went around personally thanking every nurse and doctor he saw. not just the ones that did his surgery, but EVERYONE. shook hands with every person in a uniform and said “thank you, i appreciate it” as if he was thanking someone for their service 😭😭

I woke up after surgery and the nurse was singing and I started giggling. A different nurse said something like “oh she’s laughing!” To which I responded, “no it’s okay, I’m a music teacher. I hear bad singing evvvvveryday” thinking that that would somehow make her feel better 😭

I don’t remember anything past the big ahh syringe (it looked like the evil one from the movies) going into my IV after I was mean to the nurse guy and then I woke up in the backseat of the car and couldn’t feel my chin, tongue, bottom lip, or nose. Cried the whole way home because I wanted my big brother and then passed out in my bed when I got home and when my brother saw me he laughed
