@JustMeCarlos: No, that’s not how it works. You’ve loaded the money for future purchases so the money is already theirs. It becomes part of their operational gain and indeed it incurs interest that they keep. It is not a savings account for you to use at Starbucks. It is a credit system that you purchased from Starbucks. So once you’ve paid, you’ve made your purchase.
