(https://www.wtap.com) Today’s attorney statements offered a few new details: • Elizabeth Siders’ attorney says they are still trying to determine whether she may also be considered a victim in this case. He confirmed that, from his understanding, Elizabeth is the biological mother of all 16 children. He is also asking the court to reduce her bond, arguing she has no prior criminal history and is not a flight risk. (AP News) • Gary Siders Sr.‘s attorney argues that his client’s significant health problems and questions about his competency to stand trial should be considered, and is seeking his release on a recognizance bond rather than requiring cash bond. (https://www.wtap.com) • Prosecutors have also moved to bring in special prosecutors from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office to assist with this case, signaling the state expects this prosecution to be extensive.
