Can you tell us more about visceral manipulation? My mum is having it and I am worried it’s bogus. I suspect she has eds (i suspect i do too)

Omg craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation changed my life when I was recovering from a really bad rib dislocation. Unf my lady doesn’t live close by otherwise I’d still try to go 1-2x a week

I did not respond well to dry needling, looking back maybe it’s because of the MCAS, but I broke out in hives. I do have a vibration plate for lymphatic drainage, and a face brush because a gua sha is too much.

Any systematic reviews on this in the management of EDS?

OMM includes a lot of these - it is the most helpful treatment I have found for hEDS. I go every 6 weeks and it is like my body is reset. 💙

I am as licensed massage therapist. Many of us have taken classes in manual lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy and myocfascial release. When you book with someone, you can ask if they are trained in these modalities.

Exactly. So many therapies that might help us aren’t covered or aren’t easily accessible. I find this interesting though. Prior to my EDS diagnosis I was going to PT after a mTBI and back injury. He offered cranial sacral therapy and I saw a lot if benefit. They said typically though it isn’t something beneficial long term.

Why did no one tell me about dry needling? I’m 60 and just had it done, it was amazing and my pain that has been chronic and constant for years has been gone for 2 months now.

Hot cold therapy. Cold plunge plus jacuzzi is a game changer. I know some people can’t tolerate and everyone is different but it’s one of things that’s been so helpful for me.

Functional Dry Needling with stimulation has SAVED my life. I just wish it was more covered by my insurance as an ongoing care option. I pay out of pocket.

I love electro dry needling but it’s so hard finding somewhere that offers it without needing a referral from a physician

I would like to add the possibly most important part. Learning every single nervous system, physical, and environmental trigger that sends you on a flare loop. Pattern tracking for prevention on top of the things you just named (especially fascia) were the game changers for me.
