fun fact: this type of versification is unique only to a few languages where the poet is playing with the alternation of long and short syllables using a pattern that makes it musical (called hexameter) thats why it matters where you out the stressors in each word. afaik the other language capable of such is hungarian. the guy who translated the Ilyad and the Odyssey to Hungarian made sure to follow the same rythmic pattern through the whole of it. by the end of his life he was only capable of speaking in hexameter versing. shoutout for Gábor Devecseri
