@leaderbilt: Australian living standards in sharp decline according to the OECD. While others are up 5% in the last 5 years, we are down the same. Our real wages are at 2009 levels. People can keep waving their club scarf, and both major parties have put us here really since the GFC, but this country needs a fundamental reset. Growth focus. Productivity focus. Serious leadership. Not cutting the pie further and gaslighting daily. #leaderbilt #auspol #inflation #economics #christiancunningham @Let’s Just Start Podcast

The problem is corporate and investor greed in wanting to make unreasonable profit while not paying fair amount of tax.

To say "Inflation is high!!!" fundamentally misses the point. Firstly, the biggest components of increased CPI is housing, food/beverages and transport. Secondly, the ABS releases are always a month and a half behind, which means we are yet to see the consequences of recent fuel prices coming down, transport costs stabilizing and housing prices starting to shift backwards due to CGT changes.
